Chevrolet K5 Blazer

KEY FACTS

The Chevrolet K5 Blazer dates all the way back to the late 1960s, but it’s the 1973-1991 square body model that most people think of when picturing this classic SUV. Featuring a short wheelbase, rectangular styling and the ability to pop the top for some fun in the sun, the Blazer provided decent off-road chops and respectable practicality for towing and hauling, as it shared its bones with Chevy’s same-era full-size pickup.

1980’s trucks, such as ours, offer a little more comfort and convenience than their ’70s predecessors, along with a somewhat more modern drivetrain that includes early throttle-body fuel injection, improving their reliability.

Our K5 Blazer rolled off the production line back in 1985 in Flint, Michigan. It spent its life up till the late 2000’s on US soil before it was imported into the Netherlands. The last owner bought it from the Netherlands and registered it in Belgium in 2020. He also spent a lot of time ensuring that this Blazer stays in good condition. Mechanically this Blazer is ready for many more miles to come. It is powered by a huge 5.7L V8 engine which powers all 4 wheels through a smooth shifting 3-speed automatic transmission.

This Blazer is in overall good condition with a clean, undamaged interior and a decent body with some spot repairs. There has been some rust repaired professionally on the body and has been well documented. The chassis and suspension are also in great condition showing no signs of rust. For comfort and convenience a removable hard top has been installed which presents well. This Blazer is a nice example to own with great patina. You do not come across many Blazers here in Europe, so you will be sure to stand out. Also when you push the pedal into the carpet you can enjoy the rumble of a true American V8. The original owners manual is also present.

The K5 Blazer is a great vehicle to own with prices going in the right direction. Before the car leaves to its new owner, it will receive a fresh service and a check to make sure that it is ready for many more fun miles, be it on the road or through a swampy forest.
