1994 Jaguar XJS 6.0L V12 Convertible

HIGHLIGHTS

The Jaguar XJS 6.0L V12 is a luxury grand tourer produced by British automaker Jaguar from 1991 to 1996. The 6.0-liter V12 engine was first introduced in the XJS in 1992 and produced up to 318 horsepower. It was an evolution of the earlier 5.3-liter V12 engine, which had been used in the XJS since its introduction in 1975. The XJS 6.0L V12 was available in both coupe and convertible body styles and featured a range of upgrades and enhancements over earlier versions of the XJS.

One of the key upgrades was the introduction of a four-speed automatic transmission, which helped to improve the car’s performance and drivability. The suspension system was also upgraded to improve handling and stability at high speeds. The XJS 6.0L V12 featured a sleek, aerodynamic design that was both elegant and modern, with a long, low hood and flowing lines that emphasized the car’s speed and power.

Despite its impressive performance and advanced engineering, the XJS 6.0L V12 faced stiff competition from other luxury grand tourers in the 1990s, particularly from German automakers like Mercedes-Benz and BMW. However, the XJS 6.0L V12 remained popular among enthusiasts of classic British cars, who were drawn to its refined styling, luxurious interior, and powerful V12 engine.

Today, the Jaguar XJS 6.0L V12 remains a highly sought-after classic car among collectors and enthusiasts. Its combination of elegant styling, advanced engineering, and powerful performance make it a true icon of the automotive world, and a testament to Jaguar’s commitment to building exceptional luxury cars.

The example that we are presenting here today is a 1994 model, which started its life in New York. She was imported to the Netherlands from Tulsa, Oklahoma back in 2020, where she was purchased by her previous, Belgian, owner.

This XJS 6.0L V12 is presented in the classic Green over tan configuration, with her British Racing green paintwork being in good, rust-free condition. Her interior, as well as her soft-top are a lovely tan colour, which both are in good condition showing minor signs of wear throughout. Being a Jaguar, her leather interior is a very comfortable place to be in while taking her on long trips all around the continent.

Mechanically she is ready for many more fun miles with her being in great overall shape. Her 6.0L V12 engine runs smoothly as well as the 4-speed automatic which offers smooth and comfortable shifts. Before she leaves to her new owner, we will give her a check-over to make sure that her new owner can enjoy her for many miles to come.
